Hello Orlandodr,
First I just want to thank you for taking the time to talk with us about your unique artwork and knowledge of this subject.
There is a great interest in the mystery of Galdrastafir and Runes. So I'm very happy you are here to tell us what you have learned.
The 1st question I have for you is where are you from? And when did you first discover the art of Galdrastafir ?
First of all, I apologize to all those who will read the interview and hope in the future to be interviewed with a video and I want to thank you for the opportunity you have given me. I also apologize for my English language.
Im from Italy and I have discovered the art of galdrastafir not long ago. Exactly 1 year ago thanks to Italian people.
2.How long have you been creating and learning about this craft?
Much of my time is spent on knowledge, which I think is not over.
The time to learn I think is individual and varies according to the propensity in this art of people.
I initially dedicated many hours of my day to knowledge of single runes, without discarding any other opinion.
I knew the runes by reading many books about them (including reading unpopular books) but reading books is not enough to know them. There is a need for practical knowledge as by nature they are mystical.
3.Was there anyone in specific like a teacher or friend that turned you onto the Runes and Galdrastafir?
There have been some people who introduced me but then knowledge came from myself. The only teachers are the runes themselves. They are powerful forces, essences, and archetypes, and only establishing communication with them can be understood. Not all people, however, are able to know them as they lie to themselves about the actual knowledge or about what they are learning. Many people underestimate the strength of runes and have repercussions in their lives and often the repercussions are negative. To know them to the end you must be a rebel but not a madman.
4.Do you believe the Galdrastafir actually work? Do you have any personal experiences you can tell us about your encounters with practicing Norse Magick?
I firmly believe that the galdrastafir work.
At first to see if they worked I tested their power on myself. Today, other people use my galdrastafir, seeing real results in their daily lives. Personally I can say that galdrastafir work well as some people who have used them have reported positive feedback. Some crazy friends also wanted to test galdrastafir with return for themselves negative and actually had some negative returns. Some galdrastafir I create, seem simple, but have really complex constructions to work.
I do not think I know Norwegian magic completely, but I have had personal experiences and I remember above all negative experiences. I am fascinated by Norwegian legends and I hope someone can point me to legends of the place, the legends of the people, as I would like to continue to study them well. I think these legends have hidden in them a lot of Norwegian magic.
5.So obviously you are a follower of the old God's of the Norse, Do you have a patron God or Goddess? A certain favorable or helpful diety that you work with the most?
I have a deity in which I resemble a lot, but it does not belong to the world of Norse mythology. Deities are primordial manifestations of strong energies, deserve respect. All the gods of all the pantheons deserve respect. I started working with the runes and one of the first things I wanted to know was the gods because they can not be separated from the runes.
6.Do you have anyone you look up to as an artist or magic Practitioner? Anyone who Inspired you to Create your art?
I have an artist I follow a lot, and I think that besides being a great artist and a great person, be a great practitioner of magic and be a Great historical researcher. I have often talked about my perplexities and helped me in trying to understand. He is Raevedis and I believe you all know he. I wish it was clear, I'm not a student of raevedis, but not because I don't want it, but for respect of raevedis these words should not be misled. He helps me and inspires me a lot and I can only thank him for that.
7.Do you have any favorite books or references about Norse folklore ? Any you could suggest that would be a good read for learning more about Runes and Galdrastafir?
I have read many books on runes, as I said earlier. I must admit that all the legends are very beautiful too.
I do not feel that I recommend any book especially to people because every book has taught me something, so read all that you can and especially read the Edda and the poems about rune.
People want to learn how to create galdrastafir but first they should learn not to lie to themselves, to study the Runes and everything around the world of seals in general. I want to emphasize that reading is not enough to understand and know how to create seals. It is not necessary to run in the approach of Runic knowledge and above all I would like to say that the speed of knowledge of runes can not dictate anybody. We ourselves know how much time is needed to learn and no one can impose it, some people put us in another year will not have enough for a lifetime. What is difficult is to be honest with ourselves and to be critical to ourselves and this people do not know how to do it, sacrificing ourselves for knowledge is also important. So if people are not honest with themselves and they do not know how to sacrifice to knowledge, it is better not to create galdrastafir.
People should also study the archetypal signs and how to bypass the rational mind.
8.Do you think there is danger in creating these magical symbols and spells? Have you ever had something strange happen?
It is very dangerous to create seals and galdrastafir. Creating all this requires a lot of practice and knowledge. Knowledge of other arts as well. I myself wronged the creation of galdrastafir and I had heavy repercussions on myself. That's why today I text almost all the seals, if I decide to publish them entirely with their activation and their poem.
Once I created a "seal" and I did not realize I had run the runes bad. My days and nights were very heavy not only morally, I also had physical repercussions. The repercussions were also negative in talking to other people every day. However, I thank those mistakes I made in the past in the creation of seals, as they have taught me so much wrong.
9.How do you feel about this new age modern Magick? Like posting images of Galdrastafir and Sigils on the internet, do you believe that the symbols can be effective and create change digitally?
This is a strange question and I'm glad you posted it to me. There are currents of people who create animated digital seals. I can not rule out that these seals do not really work as there is what we call "subbliminal advertising," this type of advertising really condenses the behavior by speaking directly to our unconscious.
That said, I believe a digital seal could work in the same way as affecting people's behavior, but I firmly believe that creating a witch seal is different from a digital seal that only affects behaviors. The created seal needs a series of elements, forces that are called, mental conditions, physical conditions, and even physical condition that then remain in the collective unconscious. The one who creates the material seal transmits a whole series of physical, mental emotional conditions in the creation act that can not be digitally replaced. So a digital seal could recall that series of energies that developed during the material creation act of the seal itself, but if a seal is digitally created and just do not think it can work in the same manner as a truly and materially created seal. Perhaps we will enter a new era of digital sealing, which I do not know, but anyhow a seal should be created using non-digital methods as it does not affect our unconsciousness, but it moves a series of natural forces and elements that transcend Individual mental conditions.
10.Do you mix your practice/art? I often use a mix of methods and symbols to achieve results, Do you practice any other art or Chaos Magick? Or do you strictly follow along the guidelines of 1 path?
I Practice other arts and sometimes mix the various arts for sealing. I know Magick's chaos and I think it's something solidly valid. The technique of sealing the chaos magick I think it is important to know it to understand the galdrastafir. Often my galdrastafir have runes, archetypal signs and runes encrypted by myself. My theory is that a galdr should not be read by a rational mind that could affect its success but must be clear to the unconscious of the person and must use archetypal elements, runes and symbols to increase the effects. Today the symbols are underestimated, but if I think about the collective unconscious and how many people have used a symbol for a common purpose, I could almost safely say that in the spiral of events that symbol has that meaning and that the unconscious reads it well and that The chosen symbol calls for a certain force.
11.Have you ever had something go wrong or turn out a different way then you intended them too? I believe this is becoming a problem for New Practitioners, they do spells and rituals without understanding the power of what they are bringing or asking for, I personally Know that you must be careful and specific about how you do things and how you ask for help or aid, do you agree?
I absolutely agree with you, practitioners today write rites and devote themselves to doing them without understanding deep in what they do. They call forces that they can not understand and underestimate.
But I must say that many of them do not get any results right because they do not deepen their practice and knowledge. This is a problem that has led the web, where many people think of reading a single article and believe they are able to do a rite and many others think that witch is a fashion (because of the TV series). Personally they talked to me about a girl who improvised a witch and painted a nail polish with a candle for a rite, not even knowing that the nail polish when burned is toxic. This is not knowledge, this behavior is not even lazy to learn is only very little intelligence and I hope people use their own intelligence as if I do not understand that the burnt enamel is toxic, they will never understand what they want to be. Personally, in any case, I never feel like being a master in something, and I also learn a lot from the people I compare to each other. An exchange of ideas is more profitable than elevating to the master's degree and walking along a path along with other people stimulates creativity, wisdom, and knowledge.
12.So what do you do for fun? Do you have any other interests or anything you are comfortable sharing with us?
Usually my fun is just what we are talking about. other interests? Many ... I use my free time to walk in the woods (trekking), study, dedicate time to the gym, go for places with friends ... I try to live without constraints, integrating my "being" as much as possible .
13.Do you believe that learning and having these magical practices helps improve your life and Creativity?
Learning these practices requires a great deal of creativity, and with practice it is being developed more and more, the most difficult thing is that these practices are learned without becoming constraints and chains of any kind and creativity must be free.
You have to be free to express your feelings. Attention: I am not saying that we must make minestrons with the various arts, and that the study is replaced by pure creativity. Every art must be studied and understood in the depths and cult of belonging.
